about

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Michael McDonald of Syntharts Studios in Eugene, Oregon, this song was probably far more fun to record than it is to listen to.

Based on a true story of a time that I, Pete Yaskovic (drums), and another band mate Brent Cole went to a restaurant prior to a huge show for a performer (Gretchen Owens) that we were the band for. As a pretty weak-sauce drinker, I never drink much before shows. Unfortunately, Brent and Pete convinced me to have a SECOND White Russian, while we shared a plate of tater tots. By the time we go to the show, I was pretty much hammered, and I forgot to unmute my tuner and then started our first song in the wrong key.

The moral of the story is that I should never drink before a show. Oh, and that sometimes things that are fun in the studio may not translate as well in reality. But I still would never take this track out of the album!
